Liz McMahan recently joined Conestoga College where she serves as Campus Manager, directing and leading a cross-departmental team in the coordination of all services and activities at the Milton campus as well as building strategic relationships within the community. Prior to joining Conestoga, Liz was the Associate Director, Convocation & Advancement Events at York University where she was responsible for the strategic, operational, and budgetary oversight of York’s convocation ceremonies and led a team in the planning and coordination of pan-university ceremonies and events. Liz also served as the Director of the Congress of the Humanities & Social Sciences 2023 at York where she oversaw the project management and implementation of Canada’s largest academic gathering. She spent several years in arts administration, overseeing large festivals and events and worked in financial services for over a decade. Liz holds a BA in Culture & Expression from York University and a certificate in Academic Ceremonies and is completing a Master of Education with a graduate diploma in Post-Secondary Education.
