Michael Tretola serves Fordham University as the assistant secretary of the university and special assistant to the president. In this role, he plans and executes all events from the Office of the President, including commencement, and provides support to Fordham’s president and the Board of Trustees.
Prior to this role, Michael worked in development and university relations at Fordham as an event planner in both alumni relations and special events. During his time in development, Michael was a member of the Jesuit Advancement Administrators (JAA) Executive Committee and served as the host committee lead for the JAA 2014 conference. Before joining Fordham, Michael worked as a guest relations host at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business. He is currently completing his dissertation on diversity officers in Catholic higher education for a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Supervision in Fordham’s Graduate School of Education.
