Heather Cochran-Rock, CMP, is the assistant director for campus events at the University of Vermont and is responsible for overseeing the event scheduling and resource coordination function for approximately 250 conferences and 27,000 meetings and events on campus annually. She oversees the logistical planning, contract negotiations, and staffing for UVM’s 11 commencement ceremonies. Heather has more than 18 years of experience in managing, planning, and executing conferences in both higher education and resort hotel environments. She holds a BBA in Hospitality Management from SUNY Delhi and has worked for companies such as Walt Disney, Marriott, and Gaylord Entertainment.
